Saving the Planet One Light Bulb at a Time! For my Bar Mitzvah project I've decided to help raise consciousness on how we can save energy to protect the environment. One easy way is to buy and use Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs). They use less energy, so are better for the environment than normal incandescent bulbs. Replacing one incandescent bulb with a CFL will keep one thousand pounds of greenhouse gases from being produced over the course of the CFL's life. Most Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs now provide the same soft white light that you get from your incandescent light bulbs. Additionally, each CFL you use will reduce your energy bill by an average of $35 over its 5-7 year life, compared to a standard bulb. CFLs can be purchased at your local supermarket, hardware store, discount department store, and many other places. However, if you buy your CFLs from www.bensbulbs.com via our links to Walmart, you'll pay a very low price per bulb--much lower than you would pay at the supermarket.
