Ben Perlmutter did a nice Q and A with me for the QuantumListing profile series. I’ve embedded it below.
I’m at Parents Weekend for my daughter, who is a freshman in college. My wife and I are staying at a Courtyard by Marriott, and the place is filled with other visiting parents. It is so easy to start a conversation. All it takes is an interrogative, “Freshman?”
In a world which seems so polarized, it is easy to forget that most people have more in common than not. Maybe if we focused more on those commonalities, cutting across socioeconomic and political divides, the world will come a little closer together.
Yup, you read that right. Perlmutter Properties was suspended from having a CoStar account a couple of weeks ago, because I started QuantumListing.com. Even though they are two separate companies, there is something in the fine print of the CoStar agreement (and that agreement is written in the tiniest font imaginable, pretty much guaranteeing that no one ever reads it), that gives them the right to suspend a user who they perceive to be a competitor.
So, if you are reading this, and have not joined QuantumListing.com yet, please do so, and add your listings if you have them!
QuantumListing.com has started adding all of its users to geographically based networks. Those that are involved in more than one market, or even just interested in multiple markets can request to join additional networks. Network members automatically have their listings added to their networks. Once you have been added to a network or two or three, you can easily check on the latest listings and other updates from the sidebar on your QuantumListing profile page.

For the last two years at ICSC RECon, Perlmutter Properties along with QuantumListing, Donovan Real Estate, Benbrooke, Gladstone Development, the Broker List and others, have hosted a speaker series on Wednesday.
If you’ve ever attended RECon, you know that most people use it as a travel day. In order to make the day productive and interesting for those remaining, we started the #LetsGetSmart speaker series. It is a great opportunity to hear about industry trends and network in a relaxed and intimate environment. This year, Howard Kline of CRE Radio & TV generously offered to video the talks, and even interviewed some of the speakers, which added a great new dimension to the event.
I encourage you to spend some time reading through the excellent summaries written by Ben Perlmutter, which you can find by clicking on the links in the QuantumListing blog post, #LetsGetSmart Keeps Getting Smarter. If you find any of them particularly interesting, watch the videos of the talks that are embedded in the respective summary articles.
Thanks to Gordon Platt for pointing out this great article in the New York Times about repurposing bank. Perlmutter Properties is handling the disposition of several banks, and if you are looking for creative ideas on how to repurpose this fantastic real estate, you might find it here! Here’s the link to the article
Hi there. We’re trying to grow our mailing list by using a pop up that asks for your mailing list. If it is too annoying or aggressive, please let me know!
We’ve also added a new message box at the bottom of each page. In today’s connected world, we thought it would be convenient for you to just be able to send us your requirement while you are on the relevant page of our website. We hope that bots won’t use it to spam us. If that happens, we can always add a Captcha!
Perlmutter Properties will be exhibiting at Booth S246 S Street in the South Hall at ICSC RECon 2018. Call 914-686-8900 to schedule an appointment with David Perlmutter, Alan Zuckerman, or Stephanie Waters. David is also happy to discuss QuantumListing.com with you!
We’ll also be co-hosting two great events during RECon. On Sunday May 20th, join the #LetsGetSocial18 Meet Up from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm at the Aria Sports Bar. If you register at www.letsgetsocial.info we’ll have a name badge waiting for you. Owners, brokers, developers and more from all over the country will be on hand for this fun and relaxed kick off to RECon. Walk ins are welcome but if you let us know you’ll be there we’ll have a name badge ready and waiting for you.
On Wednesday, May 23rd, from 9:00 to 1:00 we’ll be hosting the #LetsGetSmart Speaker Series at our booth, S246 S Street in the South Hall. Once again we’ve lined up an incredible array of speakers from all over the country. They are guaranteed will make Wednesday at RECon interesting informative. If you attend #LetsGetSmart, you won’t be looking at your watch waiting for RECon to end. You can learn more about our line up HERE. You don’t need to be on hand for the whole event. Come and go as your schedule permits, but be sure to be on hand when the In-N-Out burgers arrive! You can get more information and register at www.letsgetsmart.info.
